Day Light Savings Time - March 11, 2018
March 11, 2018 @ pm don't forget to change your clocks 1 hour ahead.
The main purpose of Daylight Saving Time (called "Summer Time" in many places in the world) is to make better use of daylight. We change our clocks during the summer months to move an hour of daylight from the morning to the evening.

Christmas Tree Drop Off Locations - 12-26-2017 thru 01-14/2018
I hope all is well this Holiday Season. I'm just sending out an informational message regarding your real Christmas trees and how to go about discarding it properly. This an item that can't go in the trash or dumpsters for removal.
The Sioux Falls Regional Sanitary Landfill will offer sites for residents to drop off their real Christmas trees for free.
The site closest to Cains View Estates is located at 1015 East Chambers Street that will be open beginning Tuesday, December 26 and continuing through Sunday, January 14.
Hours of operation will be Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays, 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. The site will be closed on New Year’s Day.
Access is available from North Drive to East Ash Street to Chambers Street, and from North Cliff Avenue to Chambers Street. The driveway just west of the Household Hazardous Waste Facility will be the only access point.
If possible let your neighbor know that may not have online access to view our community blog and information updates.

Just a reminder that the winter
months are quickly approaching. It is
each resident’s responsibility to make sure your home is winterized and
prepared for winter. All garden hoses should be removed from outside faucets
and the faucets should be free from dripping water. Make sure that you do not
have water or sewer leaks under your home. Once any leaks have been corrected,
properly wrap the water pipes with insulation and heat tape. The insulation and
heat tape should also cover the outside connection pipes and meters. Each
resident should also make sure that the skirting located at the bottom portion
of the home is fastened and secure. This
will help protect the pipes underneath the home from unnecessary exposure to
cold temperatures, as open skirting acts as a wind tunnel and keeps the cold
air trapped under the home. Taking these
preventative steps will not only help keep pipes from freezing, but will help
with the energy costs of heating your home.
The mobile home park is not responsible for broken or frozen
pipes so it is very important that you ensure your home is properly
prepared.
